Who we are

First Sounds - speech practice (the "App") is operated by an individual developer. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean the App operator.

Summary

The App can be used offline and does not require an in-app account. We do not sell personal data or use advertising networks.

When iCloud is enabled for the App on your device, parent-created content and related App data may be synchronized through your private Apple iCloud account. We also use Firebase Analytics to understand App usage and improve the App. We do not send the contents of child profiles, custom words, images, or voice recordings to Firebase.

Data we process

• *Practice and AR microphone input. During regular practice and voice-reactive AR activities, microphone input is processed on the device in real time to measure loudness and provide visual feedback. These activities do not create or upload an audio recording.
• *Parent-created content. A parent may create custom words or syllable lessons, add a child profile, select an image, or explicitly record a voice clip. This content may include a child name, practice history, text entered by the parent, selected images, and voice recordings. It is stored on the device and may be synchronized to the user's private iCloud account when iCloud is available for the App.
• *iCloud. We use Apple's CloudKit private database to synchronize App data between the user's devices and to help preserve it after an update or reinstall. The data is stored in the signed-in user's private iCloud database. The App operator does not access this private content.
• *Analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics. It may process technical information and App-interaction information, such as device and app information, screens viewed, feature use, and events related to the App. We do not intentionally send child names, custom word or lesson text, images, voice recordings, or PDF report contents to Firebase.
• *Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.
• *PDF reports. If you choose to share a PDF report, it is transferred through the iOS Share Sheet to the destination you select. We do not receive the report unless you independently send it to us.
• *Support email. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address, message content, and any attachments. We use this information to respond to your request.

Permissions

• *Microphone: used for real-time loudness feedback during practice and AR. Audio is recorded only when a parent explicitly starts a recording for custom content.
• *Camera: requested only for AR features. Camera images are used to render AR content and are not recorded, stored, or uploaded by the App.
